Seed Crackers

You guys know one of my favourite ways to keep my hormones balanced and happy is by seed cycling. These crackers are the perfect way to enjoy seed cycling; packed with omega-3 fatty acids, fibre, protein and so many micronutrients + the most satisfying crunch!

What you'll need:

  • 1 cup boiled water

  • 3/4 cup flaxseeds

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds

  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds

  • 1/4 cup hemp hearts

  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • 4 tbsp avocado oil

Directions (Makes 10 servings)

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and boil your water.

  2. Add your flax seeds and chia seeds to a bowl. Mix with 1 cup of boiling water and a pinch of salt.

  3. Stir and allow the seeds to soak up the water until they form an egg-white consistency.

  4. Add the rest of your seeds and season with another pinch of salt.

  5. Lightly grease a baking tray and line it with parchment paper. Then, grease your parchment paper as well. A pastry brush is perfect for this!

  6. Spread your cracker mixture evenly using a spatula until you have a thin even layer. Drizzle with 1-2 tbsp of avocado oil and spread evenly using your pastry brush.

  7. Bake on the middle rack for about 30-35 minutes, rotating halfway, until golden brown. I wouldn't walk away during this process - be sure to keep an eye on it!

  8. Transfer to a cooling rack and allow them to cool completely before breaking into smaller pieces. ENJOY!
